Heeley City Farm

Free Stuff!! That’s what all us Brit’s like to hear. And, Heeley City Farm is one of them!! Only a 15 minute walk away from the city centre (The Moor) as well.

A city farm is brilliant for the kids to see animals they wouldn’t usually see, and it isn’t a long drive home, so no one’s completely shattered after. Open 9 till 5, there’s plenty of time to see all the animals. Events throughout the year make Heeley Farm an ideal place whatever season it is.

See the goats at Heeley City Farm this summer

Get hungry? There’s a café open 10 till 4 serving fresh food daily. And as always there’s a playground for the under 8s.

The farm is free; however, it does accept donations and really does benefit from these as it goes straight to the running of the farm. Also, the farm does a lot of work with the community too – providing support for carers for people with dementia and working with people who have learning difficulties

The farm encourages you to walk, cycle or use public transport as there is very limited parking in the area. There are multiple buses which stop a short walk away from the farm which are numbers 18, 19, 56 and 252.

Even if you don’t manage to visit this summer the farm is open every day except Christmas, so, have fun and enjoy the farm in the heart of the city.
